COPYWRITING

Joan Shepp: Postcard

In my current position, I am responsible for doing a wide variety of work that includes copywriting, content creation, photography, and graphic design. For this project, I wanted to create a new marketing initiative. This postcard would be handed out to customers so that they can send a note to their friend for Women’s Month!

My Perfect Day Journal Product Launch

Above is some of my Instagram Stories for my journal launch a few weeks ago. I wanted the customer to really understand the journal and to feel like they were prepared for the launch! This lead me to a successful launch of selling over half of my stock in just the first week!

Mastery By Mal

About the work:

I was approached by Mastery by Mal after using the their Instagram growth program. They send out an email to all of their clients looking for a copywriter. Using my tools from my copywriting course at James Madison University, I was able to craft and assist in rebranding the company. Although, this was my first paid copywriting job, I knew that the skills I had acquired in college made me a great candidate.

My steps to completing the work:

  1. Interview Mallory and Logan, the founders of the company.

  2. Analyze the existing content on each page of the website.

  3. Come up with a strategy for the content and create a creative brief.

  4. Check in weekly with the founders.

  5. Assist in design by offering suggestions for the copy.

  6. Complete the copy.
